Faith Christian School began as a Pre-School in 1978 (Follow the Leader Christian Preschool). Shortly thereafter the need for a Christian school became apparent to the leadership of Calvary Chapel Baptist Church. In 1982 Faith Christian School began its first year with grades K-8.

The school is a ministry of and located with Calvary Chapel Baptist Church and is operated by a committee of church members, chosen by the deacons and pastor of Calvary Chapel Baptist Church. The board oversees and regulates all aspects of the school.
